The Amar Kurtha
Limited Quantity
Chapter One: Lineage is produced in strictly limited quantities to honour our commitment to slow fashion. The First Allocation of Chapter One is currently in production and will dispatch by the end of May. Reserving your piece now secures it from this initial release.
Description
The Narrative A study in architectural restraint and commanding proportion. The Amar Kurtha is a structured, maxi-length silhouette designed to hold its form with a deliberate, high-tension elegance. Reimagining the traditional Kurtha through a contemporary feminine lens, the piece prioritizes presence over ornament. Defined shoulders establish a powerful upper line, dramatically offset by a singular front slit that descends from beneath the bust to the hem—elongating the form and introducing a cinematic sense of movement.
The Craft
-
Material: A premium Linen-Cotton Blend—selected for its crisp, structural integrity and breathability in warmer climates.
-
The Silhouette: A tailored, maxi-length top featuring sharp, defined shoulders and a high-impact front slit.
-
The Detail: [Insert detail, e.g., A minimalist high neck or concealed placket] to maintain a clean, uninterrupted profile.
-
The Versatility: Engineered to be layered over the Virsa or Noor bottoms, or worn as a standalone statement of structured ease.
-
Origin: Produced in strictly limited quantities in Canada.
The Form The Amar Kurtha is an exercise in controlled volume. The linen-cotton blend provides a tactile, matte finish that emphasizes the garment’s sharp lines, while the high-reaching slit allows the fabric to break and flow with the body’s natural stride.
